Course Aim:
The course covers the main environmental risk & opportunities facing organisations; the importance of resource efficiency; the impacts of pollution, prevention, control & legislation; the impact of transport; and knowing how employees can support environmental sustainability.

This one day introductory course provides learners with a practical introduction to environmental sustainability, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and motivation to create measurable sustainability impact within their organisation.

Target Audience:
This course is perfect for those working in any job role across all sectors, and has no formal entry requirements.

Course Outcomes:

On successful completion of this course the delegate will have the knowledge and understanding of:

  • The main environmental and economic risks and opportunities
  • Compliance obligations and business drivers for change
  • The main potential impacts on environment and sustainability
  • How to improve environmental performance

Format of Delivery:

This course will be delivered face-to-face in the classroom. The assessment will consist of an online 20 question multiple choice test. This is completed through the IEMA assessment portal and learners will be sent a link upon registration to the assessment. A laptop will be required for the day of the course.
