Fully aligned to the Institute of Six Sigma Professionals (ISSP) UK Standards
Accelerate your career and drive measurable business transformation. This updated, practical, and highly interactive 8-day programme equips professionals with the capabilities required to independently solve complex operational challenges, reduce variation, and lead high-impact continuous improvement projects.
Programme Objectives
By aligning with the latest ISSP standards, this course focuses on three core pillars: mastering the DMAIC framework, making data-driven decisions via statistics, and leading successful change management. Delegates will emerge fully capable to:
- Combine Methodologies: Harness the combined power of Lean and Six Sigma for rapid process optimization.
- Map & Challenge Value Chains: Analyze workflows to eliminate waste and confidently challenge the operational status quo.
- Apply Advanced Analytics: Utilize the 7 Quality Tools, hypothesis testing, regression, and Design of Experiments (DoE).
- Deliver Strategic Value: Lead local optimization projects and seamlessly support Black Belts on large-scale corporate initiatives.
Course Structure & Delivery
To ensure maximum workplace impact, the course structure explicitly meets the recommended ISSP training and assessment guidelines:
- Classroom Modules: 8 days of intensive, hands-on classroom instruction.
- Expert Mentorship: 1 dedicated mentoring day with an expert Black Belt to support real-world project implementation.
- Cohort Size: Limited to a maximum of 12 delegates to ensure personalized, high-quality instructor interaction.
- Technical Requirements: Delegates must have access to MS Excel and a laptop for live data-analysis exercises.
Comprehensive Curriculum
- Introduction to Lean Six Sigma & Value Stream Thinking (Value, Flow, Pull, Perfection)
- Process Mapping, Value Chain Analysis, and identifying the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
- Advanced Office/Factory Simulation Exercises
- Core Sigma Calculations & Basic Descriptive Statistics
- Using Co-pilot in Excel
- Building AI agents to help complete root cause analysis and generate new ideas
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R
- Process Capability Studies (utilizing Cpk and Ppk metrics)
- The 7 Quality Tools & The Statapult Data Exercise
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Advanced Inferential Analytics: ANOVA, and Z, T, and F-distribution hypothesis testing
- Correlation, Simple Linear Regression, and Full Factorial Design of Experiments (DoE)
- Solution Evaluation, Error Proofing (Poka-Yoke), and Project Selection
ISSP Accreditation & Certification Pathway
In strict accordance with the ISSP standards for Green Belt qualification, certification is based on demonstrable competence rather than just a written test:
- The Project Requirement: Delegates must execute and complete a workplace improvement project within 3 months of finishing the course.
- Business Impact: The project must deliver a verifiable, significant improvement to business performance or financial metrics.
- Competency Assessment: While the ISSP does not mandate a rigid formal exam, the programme incorporates ISSP-approved competency assessments throughout the course to validate training retention.
Who Should Attend?
This qualification is built for individuals responsible for tackling technical, structural, or challenging problems in daily business operations. It is highly recommended for:
- Departmental Managers & Senior Managers aiming to embed an improvement culture.
- Team Leaders & Project Managers tasked with driving efficiency.
