Workplace Investigation and Problem Solving

Course Aim:

• Carrying out an investigation into a workplace situation e.g. H&S accident, Environmental incident, situation resulting in cross contamination, defects, warranty claims, customer complaint, customer returns, internal non-conformance etc.
• Interviewing stakeholders
• Gathering evidence
• Following a Problem-Solving Process
• Undertaking Root Cause Analysis using Fishbone diagram and 5 Whys technique
• Identifying and validating solutions
• Implementing effective correction action
• Effective communication
• Reporting results

Target Audience:

All those involved in investigation and Problem Solving within their organisations processes or with 3^rd party organisations such as auditors, suppliers and sub-contractors. Aimed that those involved in leading investigations into a range of situations. Aimed at roles including; supervisors, managers, Quality practitioners, Team Leaders and Internal Auditors.

• Understanding how to investigate a situation which has occurred.
• Understanding how to gather evidence.
• The use of Interviews with key stakeholders to obtain information.
• An introductory course to increase the delegates knowledge on the aspects of the Problem-Solving Process, its elements and requirements.
